Love Fosters Hope is a Texas-based non-profit organization mission is to to impact the lives of children and teens in foster care who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.
The centerpiece of their ministry is summer camps, where youth with foster care backgrounds can trade feelings of hurt and rejection for self-esteem and respect, specifically their Teen Reach Adventure Camps (TRAC).
Love Fosters Hope has been serving teens, ages of 12 through 15, with Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) and with Bridge camp, ages 16-19, at the request of participants in Teen Reach Adventure Camp (T.R.A.C.) program wanting a next step—and in fact, they helped to design the program. Boys and girls enjoy activities with lots of individual attention from counselors, as a 2:1 ratio is maintained at all camps. They also have additional support staff to help with arts and crafts, archery, horseback riding, kayaking, swimming, and special games and events that include a dance for the girls and a talent show for the boys.
Boy's TRAC: June 27-July1 (Teen Boys from 12 to 15 years)
Bridge Camp: June 15-19 (Coed Teen Camp from 16 to 19 years)
There are numerous areas to volunteer at camp: counselors, arts and crafts, sports, games, archery, challenge course, nurse, photographer, people to make photo albums, and decorate for dances. * Training for the Camps is offered on either May 5 or 19. Contact Director@lovefostershope.org to sign up.
