The Hood Family
The Hood family is made up of Gordon and Dorothy Hood, as well as their 6 foster children. All of their children have some form of special needs, with needs such as mental retardation, blindness, and Downs Syndrome. The Hood family is praying for a miracle to help them in the crisis they are facing. The family has lost everything they owned, and on top of that, Gordon fractured his back during the evacuation process. The Hoods are obligated to meet "minimum standard licensing requirements" set by the state of Texas. If the family does not meet these requirements, the foster children entrusted to them will be in danger of removal and separation. There are extra steps required to meet for children with special needs, and the Hoods have an uphill battle ahead of them to provide a suitable home to continue care for their children. Any form of assistance that may be provided is necessary as the Hoods work to provide their children with the care they require.
You can help support the Hood family by purchasing one or more items from their Walmart Registry (Sponsored), donating an Amazon Gift Card, or by sponsoring one or more of the larger "big ticket" needs, including a lawn mower (Sponsored) and refrigerator (Sponsored).
