This dinner is held to congratulate and encourage local foster teens who are graduating from high school and have no family to celebrate with them. Each teen in foster care that has graduated high school or received their GED needs to be celebrated. Every year there is a surprise guest, there have been former athletes such as Matt Bullard, a Woodlands resident and former Rockets player and this year Lieutenant General Robert Wilson, US Army Retired gave the graduates words of encouragement before they threw their red caps in the air!
How can I help?
Always Pursue is always in need of volunteers, to serve and love on these children, and as well as in need of sponsors for the event. If you would like to find out more about how you can help email: Chelsea@OrphanCareSolutions.com
